About Us
Our mission :
- ARA is a non-profit association that will gather adults and pediatric Rheumatology providers (MDs, DOs, APRNs, PAs) who are trained in the United States of America and share common goals.
Goals :
- To connect different Arab rheumatologists in the U.S. and help aspiring doctors and trainees, particularly from Arab backgrounds, to have an opportunity to train and explore options for education and jobs in the U.S.
- To provide health and educational support as well as advocate for health equity for underserved communities in areas of large Arab presence in the U.S., especially concerning Rheumatic illnesses.
- To provide a bridge of communication between Arab rheumatologists in the U.S. and rheumatologists in the Arab world.
Our history
- The idea started at one of the ACR meetings, where a group of rheumatologists met, and shared the same value and vision of connecting rheumatologists in the US with rheumatologists in the Arab countries.
